Glad you got back. can you talk to the people there and tell them to stop censoring me and unban me as well since you have their ear? They are definitely not free speech friendly or champions of the arts, they just saw you had industry clout and they target a lot of people.

If I'm the "right" political vibe, it's only taken forty years to get to this point. More like I was decades ahead of my time and somehow the biz seems to have caught up to me. As for being stuck, see me in 1996. I cashed out when the distribution system collapsed, took odd jobs, worked part-time at Borders in the North Hills of Pittsburgh (during the heyday of Harry Potter midnight releases), then went back to school and finally got a PhD in 2013. There's no love lost between me and the comics biz. There's a bigger world out there and life is short. (I only wish I could have somehow conveyed that to Ed Piskor, who thought it was the end of the world just because this shabby "biz" turned on him.) We have choices. Make your own future. Best of luck.

I don't know specifically what we did "right" or "wrong" (and I'm sure that's by design) well enough to avoid it again in the future, let alone make generalizations about platforms and other content creators. Clearly the blanket "we reserve the right to reject ... for any reason" is there so that a service provider can avoid saying out loud "We're being unfair, discriminatory, arbitrary, violating your God-given First Amendment rights, just don't feel like it," etc. If a fan approaches me and wants to commission a drawing, and I object to their idea because it's racist, sexist, stupid, out of character, or whatever, I'm not compelled to draw it (and even Anton Drek aside, I've had my share of pretty objectionable requests over the years). But a crowdfunding platform would seem to want to be content-neutral to the greatest degree possible, and should set forth possible road blocks so you can avoid them in advance. All I can say is if you feel you have a clear case of discrimination beyond they just don't like you, you get on their nerves, you have a high failure rate, etc. then approach the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and see if they can intervene on the facts and issues.

Well I can tell you - you have the "right" politics and you're a part of the political industry they support. As you mentioned, Rich Johnston promoted it at Bleeding Cool, he did not champion my right to exist or have my comics made when Kickstarter targeted me. In fact, he's done everything he can to try to destroy my career along with these people at Kickstarter doing their ill deeds.

It's ridiculous because my comics are PG, they're well made, they have no political messaging, I've delivered. I'm the type of creator Kickstarter should be promoting because they have a massive problem with thinly veiled pornography dominating the top of their charts that don't offer much to the comic book medium. But I make commentary on the mainstream industry, and so they want me suppressed because of that.

The CBLDF will not get involved nor even respond because again, I'm not the "right" political tribe within the industry. These institutions are all corrupt and because no one will speak out, I don't have the clout to make change.

So it leaves a person like me completely stuck. When I went to appeal my ban, I had no ability to appeal. It closed my account. The head of comics BLOCKED me before I could even message him on X. So did the CEO of Kickstarter when I voiced the complaint. So what does one do? I complain loudly, yet the industry APPROVES of my being banned and harassed.
